Statement of Candidacy
Pacific Northwest District Governor-Elect
To continue my long-standing commitment to serve, I am formally announcing my Candidacy for Governor- Elect. To succeed in this endeavor I am asking for the support of Kiwanians like yourself who, I believe, share in the vision that every Kiwanis Club in the Pacific Northwest can be the indisputable civic leader in the communities they serve.
By focusing our attention on our primary mission of “changing the world one child and one community at a time” that vision will become a reality.
As Governor-Elect I will encourage a meaningful partnership with the club leadership teams that recruits, retains and rewards members for their commitment and efforts.
It is the Governing Body’s and the District Staff’s responsibility and obligation to provide the resources and training to assist the clubs to achieve greatness. In the Pacific Northwest we are fortunate to have many capable Kiwanians willing to be a part of that process. Providing help will be an integral part of the partnership between the Governing Board and the membership.
It is my belief that this will contribute to growth in membership, growth in service and growth in stature.
I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve and ask that you support my candidacy and elect me your next Governor-Elect at the 2010 PNW District Convention in Spokane.
